Vocalist Anna Sollewijn (24) en pianist Chris Muller (27) vormen samen een nieuw kwartet met een eigen blik op het Great American Songbook. Bekende jazz-standards krijgen een nieuw jasje met speelse arrangementen, rijke harmonieën en invloeden uit soul en moderne
jazz. Zo ontstaan versies die even persoonlijk als verrassend zijn, met veel ruimte voor improvisatie en het plezier van samen muziek maken.
Na hun debuut-EP en Chris’ bigband-album Turning Thoughts bundelden ze hun krachten met Cas Jiskoot (bas) en Tim Hennekes (drums). Zondagmiddag 7 juni in Buurtkamer OKP30 spelen ze tijdens Red Light Jazz ook composities van hun net verschenen debuutalbum Between the lines.

Vocalist Anna Sollewijn (24) and pianist Chris Muller (27) have joined forces to form a new quartet with their own fresh take on the Great American Songbook. Well-known jazz standards are given a new twist through playful arrangements, rich harmonies, and influences
from soul and modern jazz. The result is a set of interpretations that are both personal and surprising, with plenty of room for improvisation and the joy of making music together.
Following their debut EP and Chris’s big band album Turning Thoughts, they teamed up with Cas Jiskoot (bass) and Tim Hennekes (drums). On Sunday afternoon, June 7, they will perform at Buurtkamer OKP30 as part of Red Light Jazz, where they will also play compositions from their newly released debut album Between the lines.
